Just after Halloween, us moms are getting into another stressful situation, and that’s thanksgiving!
Thanksgiving is just every mom’s dreadful holiday. Why am I saying this? Because we need to prepare so much food and entertain our guests! And what is thanksgiving without food?
Holiday stress is normal but with a little bit of planning and a couple of tips here and there let’s take that pressure off! So here are some tips for you to reduce clutter and stress before thanksgiving
1. Focus at the present moment
Well just like any other holiday, thanksgiving is the moment where you spend time with your family. People tend to over stress themselves into preparing a lot of stuff for the holiday. You need to keep yourself grounded and not over think things.
2. Create the thanksgiving celebration that you and your family want
You may be stressed out because your relatives are coming. Don’t be! Whatever happens try to make Thanksgiving your own. Plan ahead the menu you want to prepare on the said occasion or you can order take out instead so you can focus on the other aspects of the holiday.
3. Have your kids involved in the preparation
It can be great help if you have your children helping you out to prepare for the occasion. You can also teach them to become responsible and cooperative along the way.
4. Clean up and throw things you don’t need
You see clutter and stress work hand in hand. If you cannot clean up your home, then definitely your guests will be disappointed and I know you don’t want that to happen.
5. Plan ahead of time
Nothing beats being prepared during the holidays. Fix up your menu, purge your pantry, clean up your house. It’s all about planning and easing your way before thanksgiving.
