Whether it may be unexpected visits or you’re expecting company, it is a known fact that you need to keep your house clean to make it conducive for your visitors. Sometimes (or most of the time!) it’s a stressful event and we get rattled on which room to clean first!
In my blog, I have few easy ways to clean up before your visitors show up!
1. Focus on areas your guests will see first
Check your front yard, your entry way, and your living room. Make sure everything is properly arranged and out of clutter. Dust off lamps and fixtures. Arrange pillows and make sure you sweep up dirt.
2. Fix up your living room
This is where your guests will spend a lot of time. Make sure to arrange your living room and make it neat and tidy. It doesn’t matter if you don’t put everything in the exact right spot, if you’ve got a drawer use it to shove things out of the way, then use it.
3. Clean up the bathroom
Your guests will definitely use the bathroom sooner or later, so you might want to disinfect the toilet seat and toilet bowl, wipe the mirror and properly arrange the towels. Don’t forget to prepare soap for your guests as well.
4. Make your house smell good
A good trick to keep your house fresh is to make it smell good. If your house smells good, your guest will have a lasting impression that your house is clean. Light up an aroma therapy candle, some essential oils or use incense to make your house smell good.
