Are you holiday ready? If not then your one of the many who have been procrastinating until the last few days of the actual holiday and I must say that it’s not a good thing because you’ll be in the stress zone in completing the decors and preparations on time (sheesh procrastination!)

So if you’re just doing your preparations then this post is for you! I have listed some budget-friendly tips on getting your home ready for the holidays.
In the Living Room
a. Change your throw pillows to those cozier winter versions in velvet, chenille, cashmere
and faux fur.
b. Put away some decors to make way for your Christmas decors.
c. To leave a Christmas in the air feel, add scents in your living room by spraying essential oil based fragrance to quickly refresh the air.
d. Hang up socks and other ornaments available at hand.
e. Need a Christmas tree? Make one! You could do it your own (check this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZA-chjbMWc)
In the Dining Room
a. Iron your tablecloth.
b. Polish your good ol silver wares
c. Change your table mats and table cover.
d. Add candles as accents on your table.
e. Decorate your buffet table, add some pine cones (you can put glitters on them as well), garlands and even mistletoes as designs.
In the Kitchen
a. Clean your utensils. You want them to become shiny and clean during the festivities
b. Purge your fridge. Throw out catsup sachets, Tupperware and other unnecessary stuff that clutters your fridge.
c. Clean your appliances. You need to make sure that your cooking appliances are in top shape as you will be doing a lot of cooking for the holidays.
d. Keep your kitchen in order, so it’ll be easy cleaning.
e. Put out bowls of nuts or fruit – they look festive and are a healthy snack too.
f. Stock on paper plates, plastic utensils, and paper cups. Why? Because you don’t want to keep on washing plates after the festivities. The goal is to have a hassle free holiday.

a. Do a general cleaning. Vacuum and do some dusting. This way you could see what are those things you can throw out.
b. Check out your closet, have a to donate pile so to avoid too much clutter and too many clothes lying around that you don’t really use!
c. Throw away empty bottles and/or sell stuff you don’t need and use.
a. Deep clean your tiles. You don’t want to have grime and grout to be seen by your guests.
b. Add some candles and scent diffuser to your bathroom
c. Replace hand towels and mats with a more holiday cheer design
d. Clean up and declutter your drawers and cabinets
These tips are doable, easy and budget-friendly! You need to have to be creative in decorating and spicing up your holiday and there are so many ways on doing it. Holidays are just pure fun, love, happiness, and peace so follow these budget-friendly tips to be ready for the holidays.
