Last week we’ve started off with the things you need to prepare for your kids going back to school. Now, I have a came up with a back-to-school list that you need to prepare and work on for your middle or high school teens.
1. Create a school supplies list – To prepare your teens properly you need to talk to them and ask what they need. It would help you prepare the things they need before hand. The list may change overtime but prepare something for them so you won’t miss anything when school starts.
2. Lay out clothes for the whole week – Have your kids choose what clothes they need to wear for the entire school week. Doing this ahead of time saves you time and avoid last minute indecision. Also don’t forget to check the weather and make appropriate adjustments if needed.
3. Post your daily routine – It’s easy to forget what needs to be done overtime, but if you post your daily routine for your kids you can easily adapt to it until it becomes natural for you and your kids.
4. Stash sandwich ingredients together – Group together sandwich ingredients in one basket so you can easily grab and pull up a yummy sandwich for your kids.
5. Try to mix and match their lunch – You can prepare a list of food ingredients or menu for the whole week and create a mix and match lunch list for them. This way they won’t get tired of the same old lunch every day.
6. Create a color code file folder – Over time your back-to-school plans will change and so does the amount of paper that would pile up on your study table. So in order to keep them organized before hand, have a folder with different tabs and label them with color codes for each documents you want to store. Allow your kids to familiarize themselves with the procedure and let them use the folder to organize forms and other documents you need to check out after.
